New Fire Trucks Arrive in Puerto Vallarta
email this pageprint this pageemail usPVNN

This week in a brief ceremony at the sports stadium the two fire trucks donated by the city of San Bernadine California were officially delivered to the Puerto Vallarta Fire Department by Mayor Gustavo Gonzalez Villaseñor. According to the mayor, these new trucks will greatly enhance the emergency response time of the city's fire department.

Addressing the firemen attending the ceremony, the mayor recognized the invaluable commitment of these unsung heroes, who are always watching over the citizens of Puerto Vallarta. "I congratulate you on your work, your enthusiasm, your dedication and your willingness to help the people of Vallarta," the mayor said.

According to Fire Chief Braulio Ramirez, the new four-wheel drive fire trucks are specially equipped to help the firemen go into difficult access areas. The two new fire trucks can carry six thousand liters of water each and are equipped with water cannons that can reach 30-40 meters and put out fires while the trucks are in motion. The trucks are also equipped with foam dispensers, which enables them to put out fires caused by hydrocarbons, fuel and other dangerous materials.

The ceremony ended with Mayor Villaseñor expressing his thanks to the City of San Bernardino, saying that the Puerto Vallarta Fire Department is now better equipped to give a better response to the citizenry, and the new fire trucks will help the city's firemen provide greater safety to the inhabitants of this destination.
