Dolphin Therapy in Nuevo Vallarta, Mexico

start...stop...
Puerto Vallarta - Dolphins have been a source of fascination for the human race for thousands of years, and swimming with dolphins is rapidly becoming a very popular activity around the world. In fact, those who have had close and intimate encounters with dolphins say they experienced joy and peace of mind.

Since the 1970s, several research programs around the world have centered their attentions on the dolphin's ability to help unlock the secret world of the autistic child and to assist in teaching the learning disabled. The results of these studies show clearly that dolphin therapy can increase the communication skills and learning capabilities, as well as accelerate the vocal and physical development of autistic and mentally retarded children. Additionally, people suffering from serious illnesses ranging from depression to AIDS have reported dramatic changes in their physical and emotional state after they swim with dolphins.

In this country, Dolphin Adventures in Nuevo Vallarta Mexico has been taking the lead in dolphin swimming and dolphin therapy programs. Since 1996, a colony of Pacific Bottlenose dolphins and the people that care for them have been working together to create dolphin research and training program that are based on respect, patience and affection for these dynamic, beautiful, and highly intelligent marine mammals. Through the educational and interaction portions of these programs, you will gain a deeper understanding and enjoy a special closeness with these amazing animals.

Dolphins rely on sound production and reception to communicate, navigate, and hunt in dark or murky waters. These naturally produced ultrasonic frequencies are similar to the ultrasound technology we are using today in hospitals and clinics to detect illnesses, facilitate healing and promote increased blood flow to damaged tissue.

Because dolphins emit these vibrations abundantly and freely, dolphins have a profound impact on humans in their vicinity. When a person is in the water with a dolphin, they can actually feel themselves being scanned hearing the various echolocation clicks being directed at them, and ongoing research at universities and dolphin centers suggests that the sounds that dolphins make when they communicate underwater have a therapeutic effect.

These ultrasonic emissions are not merely sonar but are also interpersonal and emotional. Many people report regaining a natural, healthy state by being in the presence of dolphins and being enveloped by the transformative emanations from these benevolent creatures. In their presence, people experience vast increases in energy, vitality and awareness on all levels, physical, emotional and spiritual.

Dolphin Adventure in Nuevo Vallarta Mexico works with Macy Jozsef of Living from the Heart for the purpose of providing alternative wellness options through swimming with dolphins. Macy and her late husband were pioneers in the field now known as "dolphin assisted therapy," which has been shown to significantly help those with Autism, Down's Syndrome, learning disabilities and other challenges.
