Puerto Vallarta Gourmet Festival - Day 1

The Eleventh Annual Vallarta Festival Gourmet International opens tonight at 8 pm with the "World Chefs" Cocktail Reception at the Grand Mayan Resort in Nuevo Vallarta.
The International Festival Gourmet Vallarta, a popular culinary event that takes place in Puerto Vallarta every November and hosts distinguished Master Chefs from all over the world, will celebrate its 11th anniversary this year from November 10th-20th.

Every year, the Puerto Vallarta Gourmet Festival brings together some of the world's finest master chefs who, along with Vallarta's talented local chefs, present unique gastronomical events every day.

On Thursday, November 10, 2005, join participating Puerto Vallarta fine dining restaurants as they celebrate the opening of the Eleventh Annual Festival Gourmet with a Cocktail Reception at the Grand Mayan Resort in Nuevo Vallarta at 8 pm.

This spectacular event promises to be an unforgettable evening full of surprises, music, dancing, delicious appetizers courtesy of Cervecería Corona and cocktails by Tequila Herradura. Not to mention "rubbing elbows" with the talented culinary experts who make Festival Gourmet one of the most important yearly events in Puerto Vallarta.

$185 pesos per person - Reservations are not required.

Chef's Table and Wine Tasting

Share this traditional event with family and friends as guest chef Francis Drillien from the Starwood Los Cabos hotel fuses his unique creativity with exotic flavors to prepare unforgetable dishes. A 20-piece mariachi band and spectacular ice sculptures will also be featured.

Cooking Classes

Monday, November 14 - Thursday, November 17, 2005

Participate in this extraordinary event as masters from the École Supérieure de Cuisine Française demonstrate the preparation of unique recipes. Classes are offered with simultaneous English and Spanish translation. Each day features a different menú, and all participants receive a booklet with all the recipes.

This spectacular event will take place in a specially created kitchen “laboratory” at the Sheraton Buganvilias, where large projection screens will enhance the live demonstration.

This is a must-see experience for anyone interested in gourmet cooking, whether you are an amateur or a professional cook. Don’t miss this opportunity!

Celebrate with us as the Festival Gourmet concludes with our traditional Gala Dinner. Surrounded by the Sheraton Buganvilias’ lush gardens and a spectacular view of the bay, the Festival Gourmet culinary virtuosi prepare an extraordinary dinner, with live music and a colorful fireworks display.

Price includes the Gala Dinner, as well as the finest wines distributed by Tequila Herradura, tax and gratuities.
