New 350-Berth Marina at La Cruz de Huanacaxtle
email this pageprint this pageemail usLatitude38.com

Puerto Vallarta - Today's Graphic of the Day from Latitude 38 Publishing is of something very important for sailors in Mexico; the plans for a new 350-berth marina at La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, which is about 10 miles northwest of Puerto Vallarta proper, and seven miles northwest of Marina Paradise.

This marina, expected to be completed in about two years, will not so much provide competition for Marina Paradise and Marina Vallarta, which in any event are completely full during the high season, but provide enough additional berthing to catapult Banderas Bay into becoming one of the premiere sailing areas of the world.

The bay has always had some of the greatest flatwater tropical sailing conditions in the world, but in two years, and particularly with the ultimate redevelopment of the delapidated Nuevo Vallarta Marina, there will be enough boats to support a host of top notch racing and cruising activities.

The marina at La Cruz is going to be big in more ways than one.
