Argus Gets into Mexican Prisons
email this pageprint this pageemail usUSNewswire

Australian identity management company Argus Solutions has cut a deal to sell its software, operating with a fingerprint biometric application, to prisons in Mexico.

A statement from the company said the deal would help the company enter the North American market, as well as more Latin American markets.

The contract will see the first of a number of prisons being fitted with Argus Solutions' Cornerstone product.

Cornerstone will be combined with the IWS Biometric Engine, a product licensed to Argus by Image Ware Systems.

"The technology will focus initially on visitor management and tracking, similar to that which we have already implemented in a number of Australian prisons," Argus chief executive Bruce Lyman said.

Cornerstone is a baseline product providing enrolment, recognition, reporting and application security 'out of the box,' with the capacity to add plug-ins tailored to business needs, such as time and attendance management.
