WorldHotels Welcomes Nine Mexico Boutique Hotels
email this pageprint this pageemail usPRWEB

WorldHotels, the world’s fastest growing group of independent hotels, today announced that it has signed an agreement with Puerto Vallarta, Mexico-based Mexico Boutique Hotels to provide nine of their destination hotels with sales, marketing and distribution services. The hotels are located throughout Mexico in the cities of Guadalajara, Mérida (2), Puebla, Morelia, Costalegre, Cholula, Oaxaca and Puerto Vallarta.

"What sets WorldHotels apart from other hotel groups is our ability to consistently offer a unique, high-quality portfolio of member hotels to guests, while providing owners a wide selection of business-building services that are on par with franchise companies," said Tom Griffiths, vice president, WorldHotels, the Americas. "These nine hotels appealed to us for not only their eclectic, boutique-style accommodations, but also for their commitment to offering superior amenities and personalized services to guests. We’re confident we’ve created a mutually beneficial business agreement with Mexico Boutique Hotels, and look forward to a long and prosperous relationship."

The hotels that are part of this agreement include:

• Villa Ganz (Guadalajara–Bajío). Formerly a colonial mansion, this 10-room boutique inn is located along the city’s main avenue, and is decorated with exquisite antiques from local collectors. Accommodations are spacious and feature beveled glass French doors, many of which open to a courtyard garden.

• Villa Mérida (Mérida–Yucatan Peninsula). This restored, late 19th Century nobleman’s estate offers seven guestrooms, each uniquely designed to carry the ambience of the original home, while providing contemporary luxury and service.

• Meson Sacristia De La Compania (Puebla–Central). Outside, this eight-room boutique hotel features rustic Spanish terraces and heavy wooden doors. Inside is an eclectic blend of traditional talavera ceramics and fine furnishings. The hotel also houses an antique gallery from which guests are welcome to shop.

• Los Juaninos (Morelia–Bajío). This former Episcopal palace, with 38 elegant rooms surrounding two patio arcades, is located in a privileged section of historical downtown and has panoramic views of a local cathedral.

• Las Alamandas (Costalegre–Pacific Central). Serene and private best describe this 14 room hotel that ranked #1 on Luxury Travel magazine´s A-List of Mexican Hideaways.

• La Quinta Luna (Cholula–Central). A16th Century home in the continent’s oldest city, Cholula, this six-room hotel is located near colorful local markets, sites of historical, religious or artistic interest, the second highest volcano in Mexico and one of the largest pyramids in the world.

• Hacienda Xcanatún (Mérida–Yucatan Peninsula). This 18th Century treasure preserves its heritage and pampers guests with a spa that uses ancient Mayan healing practices. The hotel also features the acclaimed Casa de Piedra restaurant, and 18 luxurious guest rooms.

• Hacienda Los Laureles (Oaxaca–Pacific South). Surrounded by forested mountains, this 23-room hacienda offers gourmet cuisine, lush gardens, a complete spa, a mystical Temazcal steam bath and a swimming pool.

• Casa Las Brisas (Puerto Vallarta–Pacific Central). This secluded seven-room villa overlooks one of the area’s most beautiful beaches, and is 30 minutes north of Puerto Vallarta on Banderas Bay.

"WorldHotels is recognized for its ability to help independent properties grow revenue through strategic sales and marketing initiatives and world-class distribution technology," said John Youden, general director and founder of Mexico Boutique Hotels. "We believe that they will be instrumental in supporting our growth plans, and we look forward to their leadership in expanding our company’s market share with guests seeking a hotel stay with a point of difference."

Advantages of WorldHotels’ Membership

As members of WorldHotels, these hotels are now as easy to book via telephone, online or through 600,000 travel agent terminals worldwide as hotels and resorts affiliated with large franchise operations. In addition, their guests can earn frequent flier mileage points through the company’s participation in programs with Air China, American Airlines, ANA, Asiana, Delta, Malaysian, Lufthansa, Northwest Airlines, United Airlines, Thai Royal and Varig.

Other advantages of being a member hotel include participation in advertising, promotions and public relations campaigns, as well as exposure at industry events and trade fairs attended by WorldHotels, the Americas. Specific advertising materials include a page in the WorldHotels’ hotel/resort directory, a listing on the corporate web site (www.worldhotels.com), as well as new member rack brochures and inclusion in print ads to capture the atmosphere, amenities and unique essence of each property.

In addition, 34 sales and reservation offices staffed by 80 employees worldwide work hard on behalf of all members to create and sell special programs for leisure travelers.

WorldHotels has nearly 500 member properties in more than 300 destinations and 70 countries worldwide.

Mexico Boutique Hotels is a collection of 43 small, yet elite hotels located throughout Mexico that have been categorized as boutique by virtue of their intimate size, idyllic settings, highly personalized service, individual style and outstanding attributes. The hotels usually have less than 50 rooms and can often be conceived as destinations unto themselves. The members consist of a variety of properties from the coast to the colonial towns. While some are quaint, rustic hideaways, others might be a centrally located haven or a lavish resort. All members have passed a comprehensive qualification process to ensure the integrity of their membership. The purpose of HBM is to make the public aware of the unique conceptual theme of boutique hotel vacations in Mexico by pooling together the marketing funds of small, independent hotels and making an impact on the overall market.
