No Bikini Necessary

"We picked the Villa Jardin del Mar in Bucerias because we wanted something tropical, something right on the beach," says Margot Rutigliano, founder of Bella Vita Retreat.

Two retreats have been scheduled, one for August and one for September. They will be held at the Villa Jardin del Mar in Bucerias.
The Women's Retreat & Bikini Boot Camp is heading south to Puerto Vallarta. No bikini necessary for this six-night health adventure on the Pacific Coast of Mexico. Women of all ages and levels of fitness are welcome to attend.

The focus is health and fitness with a vast array of active classes including stretch fusion which is a mix of yoga, pilates and basic stretching concepts, bikini boot camp sessions, yoga, nutrition, massage and body treatments and more.

Margot Rutigliano, founder of Bella Vita Retreat, felt it was time to take Bikini Boot Camp straight to the beach. Puerto Vallarta BBC is the first program of Bella Vita Retreat to go on the road to another country.

"Puerto Vallarta is the perfect place to get motivated and re-energized," says Rutigliano. "We picked the location because we wanted something tropical, something right on the beach."

"Our retreats have been very popular with women wanting to work on the whole body/mind/spirit connection," she added. "We have women who return periodically to get remotivated, and others who make it an annual 'ladies week' vacation experience with some friends."

Two retreats have been scheduled, one for August and one for September. They will be held at the Villa Jardin del Mar in Bucerias. Although Bikini Boot Camp is fitness focused, the retreat is about getting in shape and developing lifelong patterns to stay in shape.

Guests should be ready to sweat, but exercise isn't all that is included in the retreat. Strength, cardio and agility sessions will be accompanied by stress reduction, nutrition and meditiation instruction.

Interactive cooking classes will be featured to go along with a daily menu of ultra healthy fare. "We want participants to be able to take what they've learned home and incorporate the ideas into their own lifestyles," Rutigliano noted.

All the hard work pays off with a little relaxation. With a saltwater lap pool, a large Jacuzzi and the beach right out front, the participants will have ample opportunities to keep cool. Spa treatments are delivered direct to the guest's villas and can be given beachside or poolside.

"We looked at many locations in Mexico and feel we found the perfect site for our retreat. The combination of tropical beachfront location and the lovely villas will be an ideal situation for our participants," said Rutigliano. "A nearby international airport and convenient transportation choices are big pluses."

Jardin del Mar has small villas that are designer influenced with terra cotta floors, tropical interiors, soft linens and plush towels. Rooms are single and double occupancy and have queen and single beds with private bathrooms, living rooms, full kitchens and full laundry rooms.

Located approximately 20 minutes from the Puerto Vallarta airport and shopping area, Villa Jardin del Mar is surrounded by lush foliage, banana trees and many flowers. Guests will also enjoy private gardens, beach huts, a meditation area and more.
