DHL Mexico will fly an average of 1.9 million miles each year, the equivalent of 6,200 flight hours.
International express and logistic company DHL said on Sept. 1 that it has invested $21 million in its a domestic air network in Mexico. This will increase DHL’s cargo capacity by 40 percent and speed delivery to more domestic destinations.

The new network, which begins operations this week, will add six new daily domestic flights on new aircraft and benefit DHL customers with shipments to or from Mexico’s largest cities: Hermosillo, Ciudad Obregon, Mexico City, Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, Monterrey, Villahermosa, San Luis Potosí, Mazatlan, La Paz and Guadalajara.

Plantation, FL-based DHL said the new flights represent a significant improvement in DHL service levels, since the company will now be able to reach 98 percent of the Mexican population within 24 hours.

With these additions, DHL Mexico will fly an average of 1.9 million miles each year, the equivalent of 6,200 flight hours.
