El Paso, Texas - A 33-year-old Albuquerque man is in jail tonight after U-S customs agents found a human fetus in a jar in the car he was driving.

Fabricio Castillo Carrillo, a permanent U-S resident from Mexico, was arrested by El Paso police after customs agents made the discovery Monday morning. Customs officials say Carrillo was entering the country from Ciudad Juarez when agents searched the car he was driving and found the fetus underneath a seat.

Carrillo, who does not have a lawyer, is in custody at the El Paso County Jail on 15-hundred dollar bail. He was arrested on a charge of abuse of a corpse.

An El Paso County Medical Examiner's official determined that the fetus was between 6 and 7 weeks old.
