Radio talk show host Dr. Mara Karpel hosted public talks at Punta Mita Time in December and February.

Open from 7 am to 10 pm every Wed-Mon, there's always plenty of food and fun at Punta Mita Time, Avenida de Pangas #2, Punta de Mita, Nayarit. For more information, call (329) 291-6272.
We all know that owner/chef Art Mendoza has many talents, but he never told us that he is a producer as well. The star of one of Art's productions, "Dr. Mara Karpel & Your Golden Years" radio talk show, Dr. Mara Karpel, hosted public talks at Punta Mita Time in December and February.

Since then, DR. KARPEL www.drmarakarpel.com has been negotiating with Clear Channel to possibly have her show air on one of their seven stations in Puerto Vallarta, which is rapidly becoming the US' new baby boomers' second home.

Dr. Karpel currently has a weekly radio show broadcasted by Clear Channel KQXX in the United States every Sunday morning at 6 am Jalisco time. Local paper Vallarta Today is talking with Dr. Karpel about running her newspaper column every Monday.

On Saturday April 28, Texas singer/songwriter Greg Forest will be performing from 7:30 to 10:30 pm (Punta Mita Time), bringing some great original music that will add to the atmosphere for the Texas BBQ that will be served.

In addition, looks like film director Rodrigo Rodriguez (www.riofilm.com) may be down to help in designing the outdoor patio silver screen that will show classic 16mm black & white movies. "I plan to show Night of the Iguana once a week, as well as other great movies like Citizen Kane, Casa Blanca and many others," Mendoza said. "I also plan to have all the children help in painting the fence and screen when it is complete. This way, the community will feel like they all had a part to do with it."

Mendoza continued, "Not only is there music (at Punta Mita Time) but it looks like there may be a movie shot in our area. I was asked if I was able to assist with on-location catering and of course I said yes... The movie will star three top actors, whose names I cannot give out presently. There seems to be a lot happening here at Punta Mita Time and I look forward to telling the public of some more surprises that are coming soon."
