On average there are around 2.4 million weddings per year in the United States and roughly 15 percent of those are destination weddings. These are events taking place outside the couple's hometown.

In Puerto Vallarta, Adventure Weddings, a division of Vallarta Adventures Tour Company, offers a unique location for a small ceremony or a big bash with all the trimmings - their very own exclusive tropical beach hideaway on Banderas Bay - Las Caletas.
Accessible only by sea, Las Caletas boasts white sand beaches, blue waters, stunning sunsets and a rare combination of unparalleled privacy and scenic beauty - making it the perfect place for such a romantic occasion.
Top that off with complete wedding packages at reasonable prices and Adventure Weddings' professional wedding coordinators, who take the worries and hassles out of planning this truly unique destination wedding, and Las Caletas sets the scene for truly magical beach weddings.
"It's just so much easier," says Tiffany Vost, a new bride, "It really has been a pleasure working with the crew here and not being able to over analyze everything because I haven't been able to see it until I got here, so, it's been great. I did not have to stress about anything!"

"The couple does not have to think about anything," says Nicole Majewski, Adventure Weddings Coordinator, "We take care of everything for them, Las Caletas is an amazing destination, there's nothing else like it in the area, and we provide a really beautiful service."
The marriage takes place right on the beach in a private tropical cove. An attentive staff adds all the extra special little touches, including flowers, minister services, and transportation, in other words, an all-inclusive package. The couple decides what they want and Adventure Weddings does the rest. This gives the couple time to really enjoy their special moments together.
"I really wanted to be somewhere where I could focus on the wedding between my fianc้ and I," says Tiffany, "and once I started spreading the word that the wedding was in Puerto Vallarta, my family and friends really wanted to come so the guest list went from 35 people to 65, which was fine with us."
Las Caletas can accommodate up to 300 wedding guests and Adventure Weddings can include a cocktail hour, dinner and dancing, plus some interesting extras like fire dancing. And all of this doesn't have to break the bank.
"I have had people tell me what they have been quoted for weddings in the United States and Canada - a rate which is double what we're charging," says Nicole, "and in Las Caletas, they're on a private beach, so it's cost effective and it's uniquely beautiful."
From the catamaran ride across Banderas Bay to Las Caletas to the last dance, Adventure Weddings helps keep the event intimate and meaningful, even for those high-flying couples taking the plunge.
