This year's Altruism Festival raised $603,500 pesos for 20 local non-profit organizations, and on July 9th, each charity received a $30,175 peso check.

During a ceremony at the Marriott on July 9th, CasaMagna’s PR Manager Josefina Naya and US Consular Kelly Trainor thanked everyone for their support.
This year, the International Festival of Altruism was a greater success than in previous years.

$603,500 pesos were raised on May 6th, thanks to the efforts and support of all of the participating restaurants, US Consular Kelly Trainor, and the personnel at CasaMagna Marriott Puerto Vallarta Resort and SPA.

Thanks also go out to all of the performing artists who helped to entertain the guests at the 4th International Altruism Festival, which was held in the beachfront garden at the Marriott CasaMagna Resort at 6 pm on Sunday, May 6th, 2007.

In a small ceremony held at Casamagna Marriott Hotel on Monday July 9th, CasaMagna Marriott’s PR Manager, Josefina Naya, and US Consular Agent Kelly Trainor, two of the most important driving forces behind the festival, presented each of the charitable organizations with an equal share of the proceeds.

Each of the following charitable organizations received a $30,175 peso check:

• Asilo de Ancianos CAIA • New Life México • Club Internacional de la Amistad • Discapacitados Vallartenses DIVAC • Escuela de Fútbol Filial Pumas • Fundación Down • Grupo Ecológico de Puerto Vallarta • Manos de Amor por Bahía • Clínica de Rehabilitación Santa Bárbara • Club de la Amistad La Cruz de Huanacaxtle • Asilo San Juan Diego • Casa Hogar Máximo Cornejo • Ayuda a los Animales • Ejercito de Salvación • Torpedos • Toys for Tots • Arturo y los Hijos de Dios • Biblioteca Rey Nayar • Biblioteca Los Mangos • Proyecto Pitillal Busca un Amigo

During the July 9th ceremony, representatives of the businesses mentioned above received letters of recognition from the hands of US Consular Kelly Trainor, and a round of applause from everyone present, since it took the sum of everyone's efforts to lend a helping hand to the 20 different benefit associations and institutions that participated this year.

Thanks also went out to the seventeen hundred people who attended the 4th Annual International Festival of Altruism, whose generosity made it possible to raise the aforementioned amount, along with the generous participation of Banamex, which provided a much appreciated rest area for participants and guests.

This year’s edition of the International Festival of Alturism, “From Vallarta and for Vallarta” surpassed last year’s achievements. Expectations for next year, accordingly, are high. Once again, Thank You all for helping.
