Playing Pool to Help Kids Back to School
email this pageprint this pageemail usPVNN

Puerto Vallarta - Since many children in the Banderas Bay area do not attend school because they cannot afford school supplies and uniforms, Puerto Vallarta Choppers and The "Piratas" local Motorcycle club, along with Eclipse Azteca Tattoos recently held another fund raiser to help local kids get back to school.

A Pool Tournament was the focus of the event, where a total of 12 participants battled it out for the 50/50 split, with half of the winnings going to the children and the other half to the champion.

After a couple of hours, the challenge was on between Rafael Velez and Robbie Krohmer. Rafael, the owner of Puerto Vallarta Choppers, came out the winner and donated his winnings back to the school fund.

Fabulous pizzas were created by Yann, the owner of "Deli Baguette" in Conchas Chinas, and The Piratas offered nachos prepared by a couple of their own members, AD and Vee - Good Job Guys!

In addition, raffle tickets were sold with about 14 "gifts" being donated by local businesses. Special thanks to:

PePe's Tacos, The Tree House (formerly Miguelito's), Salon Divas, Tani Tours, Day Spa, Eclipse Azteca Tattoos, Sabuesos and Tequila Tours along with the generous clients of Puerto Vallarta Choppers who donated school supplies - making this event the best one yet!

If you are interested in learning more about the School Supply Drive, or would like to make a donation, please call Puerto Vallarta Choppers owners Rafael and Denise Velez at (322) 297-6469.
