Promoting Puerto Vallarta's South Side

Grupo Sur has launched a series of Round Table meetings to promote tourism while protecting the environment on the South Side of Puerto Vallarta.
Puerto Vallarta - Grupo Sur recently invited the local press, business owners and friends to a very pleasant lunch meeting hosted by Presidente Intercontinental Hotel General Manager Félix Ruano and Edith Apodaca, Sales Manager.

While enjoying a delicious meal served at Alfredo´s, the hotel's Italian specialty restaurant, Mr Ruano shared his thoughts regarding tourism strategies for International markets such as promoting Zona Sur's tourist attractions and hotels, as well as the development of future enterprises while conserving the area's natural environment.

This successful meeting was the first in a series of monthly Round Table social gatherings organized by Grupo Sur in an effort to promote and protect the South Side of Puerto Vallarta by inviting the local press to meet some of the business owners and General Managers of hotels along Vallarta's Southern Shores. Grupo Sur supporters and participating businesses will also be a part of this monthly program.

Finding the means and ways to receive support from local authorities and private investment is one of Grupo Sur's top priorities. Grupo Sur President Norma Alicia Lynn is convinced that through strong business alliances, strategic public relations, and the joint promotion of art and cultural events, Zona Sur businesses will not only benefit from the protection and preservation of its environment, but will also enjoy an increase in tourism as visitors become aware of the amazingly beautiful surroundings Zona Sur has always had to offer.

As the luncheon came to a close, Mr Ruano stated, "It's ironic that the northern regions of this tourist destination have been growing and expanding since, in one way or another, most visitors end up exploring the southern shores of Banderas Bay because the true essence of Puerto Vallarta is found in this area."

According to Norma Alicia Lynn, it is of vital importance to the future of Zona Sur that both locals and visitors are well informed of what is happening in this area.
