If you love scuba diving you may want to share your experiences and excitement by teaching others how to explore the ocean depths. Vallarta Adventures PADI Gold Palm Instructor Development Center in Nuevo Vallarta offers the PADI Instructor Development Course, a combination of programs designed to enhance your dive professional abilities and increase your success as a certified scuba instructor.

In the world of professional scuba diving, there are hundreds of careers in recreational diving to choose from. From conducting PADI certification classes and teaching open water courses to running a dive operation or guiding dive trips around the world, Vallarta Adventures' PADI Professional certification programs will open the door to a lifetime of personal growth and exciting job opportunities.

This year's IDC program took place from September 3rd-16th, utilizing the PADI system of diver education, which combines the Assistant Instructor (AI) course, the Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI) course and the PADI Instructor Examination (IE).

All suited, masked, tanked up and hanging out on the bottom of the pool, divers study the particulars of open water diving. All the students enrolled in the program are PADI dive masters participating in the Instructor Development Course. They are taking their knowledge to the next level by learning how to teach others.

"I know how to dive but teaching how to get that information across is a bit more difficult," says Lisa Wood, a student, "you have to remember, that people don't know everything that you know, it's helping me, it's the teaching side of it, they are teaching us how to teach."

The program includes lectures, quizzes, presentations and home work, it is not just about dive time. The course director certifies more than 100 students per year, all over the world, and he still gets bubbly with excitement over each new group.

"It is still thrilling to watch the students get out of the water after they teach their first scuba divers, they tell me what a great experience they are having and feel a certain fulfillment," says Eric Zwanenburg, PADI Course Director, "Even after becoming an instructor over ten years ago, I still really like my job."

Vallarta Adventures is the only five-star Instructor Development Center on Mexico's Pacific Coast. The PADI IDC program lasts almost two weeks and it's both convenient and affordable, giving those living in and around the Banderas Bay area the unique opportunity to start building a successful career as a dive professional. And though this year's program has already come and gone, there's still time to plan ahead for next year!

Vallarta Adventures also offers Learn To Dive programs for aspiring divers and Continuing Education programs for experienced divers in addition to a wide variety of scuba diving excursions. For more information, visit Vallarta-Adventures.com or call 1-888-303-2653 toll-free from the U.S. or Canada.
