Don't miss this season's lineup of great shows at Puerto Vallarta's most popular entertainment venue, Santa Barbara Theater! Advance tickets can be purchased online at SantaBarbaraTheater.com. For more information stop by the theater at 351 Olas Altas on the South Side of Puerto Vallarta or call (322) 223-2048.
Musicals. Comedies. Dramas. Concerts. Cabaret. Even a spectacular dance show or two are in the lineup. Fourteen different shows in all, making the 2007-08 season one of our best yet!

Kicking off the season on November 10th is one of last year's runaway hits "Always, Patsy Cline," a stirring theatrical production celebrating the life and music of legendary recording star. Based on a true story, the show is presented through the humorous, heartfelt recollections of Houston housewife and avid fan, Louise Seger, who met Patsy Cline in 1961. The two women struck up a friendship that lasted until Cline's sudden death in a plane crash in 1963.

All 12 shows sold out last year, and for good reason: In addition to a great story, co-stars Sandi Lee (in the title role) and Mikki Prost (as Louise Seger) deliver stunning performances, turning the show into a veritable honky-tonk jukebox. Loaded with songs made famous by Patsy Cline, such as I Fall to Pieces, Walkin' After Midnight, Blue Moon of Kentucky, and Crazy, you don't have to be a C&W fan to thoroughly enjoy the toe-tappin' and hand-clappin' music.

Also back for another run (beginning November 14th) is the Broadway musical revue "BeDazzled," featuring five of Vallarta's finest talents performing show-stopping songs from legendary tunesmiths like Berlin and Gershwin, memorable moments from classics like Annie Get Your Gun and Les Miserables, and highlights from modern pop-driven musicals like Cats.

As theatergoers know, Broadway is more than just a street. It represents the timeless music and magic of American entertainment. You will be dazzled indeed with this unforgettable tribute celebrating Broadway musicals.

"Shirley Valentine's Vallarta Adventure," starring Dana Zeller-Alexis as a plucky, wisecracking housewife who decides to escape the grip of suburban drudgery and a quirky mid life crisis for a self-affirming vacation to exotic Puerto Vallarta, opens Thursday, Nov 15th and plays every Thursday night through Dec 13th.

Combining elements from the original 1986 play and the popular 1989 movie that followed, we've also thrown in some Mexican twists and Puerto Vallarta turns to make Shirley's south of the border vacation an adventure to remember. Who would have thought she had the courage, the nerve, or the lingerie?

On Friday, Nov 16th, you won't want to miss the special one-night-only performance by Los Bambinos, voted "Best Musical Group in Puerto Vallarta" the last two years in a row! These five young men (four brothers and a cousin) are on the cusp of making it to the Big Time, having just completed their first CD of original rhythmic songs.

To make the evening extra special, we're throwing a party to celebrate Los Bambinos' well deserved success. Prior to the concert, fans will get a chance to meet Los Bambinos, hear songs from their new CD, and view their Promotional Video filmed this summer.

And for fans of last year's season-long hit show "Bob Fosse - And All That Dance," a brand new edition filled with more of the legendary director-choreographer's Broadway dance numbers will premiere November 23rd and play every Friday night throughout the season.

Fosse forever changed Broadway's musical theater with his hot jazzy style, and this season's show sparkles with dazzling dance routines that celebrate Fosse's genius and a legacy that spanned 38 years in show business.

In December, Los Bambinos are back again at Santa Barbara to showcase their multiple talents by starring in this year's holiday show, "How The Grinch Stole Christmas." Not only will Los Bambinos perform the musical score (including the hit songs You're a Mean One Mr. Grinch, Welcome Christmas, and many more yuletide favorites,) they'll also act out some specially crafted roles in the show!

The Grinch will also feature the extraordinary acting-dancing talents of Paul Guerrero and Federico Fonseca, the dynamic directing-choreographic duo behind the Bob Fosse show. Such a combination of multi-talented performers will certainly make our version of The Grinch, a Holiday-li-cious treat for audiences of all ages!
