For more information, visit the Luma sales studio at Paseo de los Cocoteros 56 Sur in Nuevo Vallarta, call 322-226-7290 from within Mexico or 1-866-554-LUMA from the US, or visit LumaLiving.com.

Luma, the first American developed, full-ownership, active adult beachfront community in Nuevo Vallarta, Mexico, officially began construction with a groundbreaking ceremony and reception earlier this month at their newly completed sales studio.

Designed for those 50 and over, Luma offers a warm, inviting community in Mexico, which was recently ranked as the number-one place to retire by International Living Magazine.

In keeping with the theme of the evening, 'New Beginnings,' attendees experienced a rare opportunity to participate in a sea turtle hatchling release, ensuring these delicate creatures were safely delivered to the Pacific Ocean.

In attendance were Puerto Vallarta and state officials, architects, business leaders, local real estate professionals, Luma's sales team from Prudential California Realty, and representatives from the developer of Luma, Front Porch Development Company, and its partner in Mexico, Grupo Krone.

With the sales studio now open, those interested in Luma are invited to visit the stunning, beachfront studio located on the Bay of Banderas, Paseo de los Cocoteros 56 Sur in Nuevo Vallarta. To contact the studio, please call 322-226-7290 from within Mexico or 1-866-554-LUMA from the U.S. or visit LumaLiving.com.

"This is truly a milestone for Front Porch Development Company," said Bill Jennings, president of Front Porch Development Company. "Luma stands as a one-of-a-kind development. Never before has the convenience and adventure of resort-style living been combined with the warm sense of community you will find from active adult living at Luma. Since announcing the development earlier this year, we've had tremendous interest. Luma clearly offers something that people are searching for."

With the celebration, Luma officially broke ground on Towers One and Two, and released both for sale. Luma's first phase is set to open in spring 2009. When completed, Luma will showcase bold contemporary Mexican design by the renowned Ernesto Del Castillo Marquez Architecture and offer over 400 stunning residences, 264 of which will be beachfront.

The blending of Luma's setting, style and range of services, including a Lifestyle Concierge Program, promise "active adult living reimagined." Pricing for Luma residences ranges from the $400,000's to $1.8 million. HOA fees will include a social membership at Paradise Village with discounts at the world-renowned golf course El Tigre.

The sales studio, an airy beachside edifice with contemporary decor and Mexican influences, offers a look into the style of Luma when complete. Sales representatives are available to provide information on floor plans, amenities, interior details, timelines and pricing.

The studio is open 10 am to 6 pm, Monday through Friday; 10 am to 5 pm on Saturday; and 10 am to 1 pm on Sunday. Construction on the model home is underway and expected to be completed in December.

Front Porch Development Company is the real estate development partner of Front Porch, California's largest non-profit provider of senior living communities. The Burbank, California-based organization offers 13 retirement communities in California, Louisiana and Florida. Dedicated to enhancing the lives and lifestyles of seniors, Front Porch creates communities that "celebrate the art of the individual."
