Festival Gourmet International Vallarta, the annual food and wine event that has been tempting the tastebuds of Banderas Bay area residents and visitors for the last 12 years, returns to Puerto Vallarta from November 8th-18th, 2007.

Once again, a star studded cast of national and international guest chefs have come to Puerto Vallarta to share their expertise with talented chefs from 24 of the finest restaurants in Puerto Vallarta and around Banderas Bay.

For those who are familiar with Puerto Vallarta's annual gourmet festival, expect the same spectacular events: the inauguration cocktail to introduce the visiting chefs, the fantastic Sunday brunch with traditional Mariachi and the final gala event topped off with fireworks that light up the night sky.

But the best part of this 10-day event is that each participating restaurant hosts a guest master chef to create a festival all of its own - and that means 24 unique opportunities to savor inspired world-class menus!

In addition, throughout the 10 day event 13 selected restaurants will be hosting special Chef's Table and Winemaker Dinner for a limited number of guests. Made memorable by magnificent gourmet menus paired with excellent wines, these intimate evenings offer diners the opportunity to get "up close and personal" with a favorite chef.

Among the not-to-be-missed guest chefs at this year's Gourmet Festival are:

• Chef Ciarian Duffy of Tristan Restaurant in Charleston, South Carolina, who will not only be joining Restaurante Le Kliff Executive Chef Everardo Robles during the Festival, but will also be hosting a Chef's Table at Le Kliff on November 12th.

• Executive Chef Pablo Jacinto of Cindy’s Backstreet Kitchen in St. Helena CA, who together with local Chef Ignacio Uribe Moreno, will be creating a bold, yet simple, Gourmet Festival menu and unique Chef's Table at Daquiri Dick's on November 12th.

• Executive Chef and co-owner of Avon Colorado restaurant ZaccaZa, Thomas Newsted, who, together with Kaiser Maximilian Executive Chef, Carlos Palomera, will offer a nightly Festival Gourmet menu and a 6 course Table du Chef on November 14th.

• Chef Felipe Gaytan of Via Reál Restaurant in Las Colinas Texas, who shares his secret of mixing fruit with fresh chiles with La Palapa Chef Hector Moreno to present "Incredible Nuevo Latino" cuisine throughout the week and a special Chef's Table on November 14th.

Vallarta's International Festival Gourmet also offers you the opportunity to attend cooking classes, learn about wine pairing, taste the newest and best in both wines and tequila, and, of course, savor the flavors of Mexico - and the world - at some of the finest restaurants in Puerto Vallarta.

Do your palate a favor and visit this year's Gourmet Festival in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. You won’t regret it. In fact, you’ll never forget it. Spaces go quickly, so early reservations are advised.
