Vallarta Commemorates World AIDS Day
email this pageprint this pageemail usPVNN

Vallarta is just at the beginning of a new era in which HIV/AIDS and sexually transmitted diseases are being addressed in a serious and effective manner, and we need the community's help to succeed!

World AIDS Day will be commemorated in Puerto Vallarta on Wednesday, December 5th, 2007. Please join us at 9 am at Parque Hidalgo. We will march to the Los Arcos on the Malecón, where we expect Presidente Javier Bravo and others to speak to the public and members of the press about HIV, World AIDS Day, and keeping everyone in our community safe and healthy.

Free and confidential rapid HIV testing will be offered throughout the day, along with private counseling and information by trained individuals. For information, call Vallarta Enfrenta el SIDA. A.C. at (322) 223-0535.

In keeping with the World AIDS Day theme, Paul Crist of Vallarta Enfrenta el SIDA, A.C. will guest host Banana Cantina's Local Celebrity Night to raise funds for patients and their families at CAPASITS, Vallarta's recently opened HIV/AIDS Clinic.

Together, these two non-profit organizations provide high-quality medical care, counseling and psychological support, education and prevention programs, and outreach to at-risk communities in the Banderas Bay area.

Vallarta is just at the beginning of a new era in which HIV/AIDS and sexually transmitted diseases are being addressed in a serious and effective manner. And we need the community's help to succeed! Join us at Banana Cantina from 6:30 to 11 pm and help us prove that "Together We Can Make a Difference!"

Banana Cantina Local Celebrity Nights are VERY popular, so call 322-222-2114 or send an email to pvbananacantina@aol.com for reservations.
