Mexican President Felipe Calderon visits flooded southern state of Tabasco and pledges support to those affected.

The Grijalva River, which winds through state capital Villahermosa, swelled over its banks earlier this week after days of heavy rains. People and livestock swam through the streets on Friday (2nd November) after a murky, brown deluge surged into the city, home to about half a million people.

Reuters' Michelle Carlile-Alkhouri reports.
