Film Tickets in a Banner

Tailgate Technologies looks set to revolutionize the way we buy movie tickets as it announces its first deal with Paramount Vantage.

Using the newly-launched Tailgate enabled transactional banners to promote and sell tickets for their up coming blockbuster movie The Kite Runner, Paramount are leading the way by transforming movie ticket purchasing into a quick and easy process.

The Tailgate enabled Paramount banners will allow moviegoers to search by zip code, city or state, select and make ticket purchases without leaving the host site. The transactional banners have built-in secured e-commerce capability that can sit on any website without the publisher having to manage any aspect of the ads or transaction.

Paramount is the first of many large organizations who will be using the Tailgate technology in the near future tapping into consumers buying needs, facilitating a convenient and easy purchase. Host sites benefit from no longer losing important users to other sites and consumers get the added benefit of instant buying capability.

Chris Autry, CEO of Tailgate Technologies, says, “This technology will significantly alter display advertising for the better. Online display advertising is here to stay and our aim is to make it a good experience for the consumer and advertiser alike. The web is about convenience and this is great step in that direction”.

Bladimiar Norman, Head of Interactive Marketing at Paramount Vantage, says, “We recognized that Tailgate’s innovation was the way forward in terms of answering the needs of consumers. After all our consumers want an efficient, safe and convenient way of buying their movie tickets. Tailgate allows them to do just that.” Tailgate allows users to pay using any major credit card or with any of the standard web checkout protocols. All transactions happen as though they are part of the advertiser’s standard e-commerce offer. In other words, a purchase on an advertiser’s banner is treated the same as one on their main eCommerce site.

Tailgate’s highly refined security framework exists at all points in the communication protocol. This has been central to the development of Tailgate’s technology. No consumer data is stored or held on the Tailgate platform and all data is seamlessly integrated into the advertiser’s back end fulfillment system outside of the advertising network.

Early next year, Tailgate will introduce IAAN (Intelligent Application Advertising Networks), a meta-application that will allow real-time data analysis to be used to form a “collective demographic advertising conscience”. Consumers themselves will influence the information that is presented to them based on a number of key parameters. Intelligent advertising is finally on the horizon.

Editors Notes:

Tailgate Technologies is headquartered in London and is incorporated in the US. The TailgateTM technology is solely owned by Tailgate Technologies (US Patent Filing 11/709,592). Tailgate is a first of a kind technology that allows 256-bit secure eCommerce transactions to be completed in traditional online advertising banners. Tailgate acts as a complement to a traditional eCommerce site by allowing secured search and purchases to occur over existing advertising networks.
