International Friendship Club North Home Tour
email this pageprint this pageemail usPamela Thompson - PVNN

Lunch at the new "Swimmers" beach club in Punta de Mita is a relaxing and lovely part of the International Friendship Club's North Home Tour.

I have lived on the Southside of Puerto Vallarta for 18 years. I am embarrassed to say that I get to anywhere north of the airport about two or three times per year tops. From my spot on the beach of Los Muertos, I can look to the north and see that there is a whole other world out that direction. I think, "One of these days I am going to see what is going on out there."

By taking the IFC's new and very popular North Home Tour, I found that this was definitely the way to do it! Meeting at La Paz Restaurant in the Marina (next to Hospital Amerimed) at 9 am, bus departing promptly at 10 am, we headed to the area that I have only read about. (Gee, I need to get out more!)

The building and growth rapidly taking place is amazing. The beaches are pristine, gorgeous. The homes are breathtaking, astounding! Visiting four homes that included The Carlyle - a two story condo recently remodeled and upgraded with amazing and unique fine art, The White Swan - located at the tip of two canals is in a park-like setting, Casa Tres Delfines - On a canal as well, this modern Mexican home is two years old with 7 bedrooms and baths, Villa Romance - which his very appropriately named, on the bay with a magnificent view and spectacular garden entrance made me want to settle in for a few days.

Lunch at the new "Swimmers" beach club was relaxing and lovely. Set aside a Tuesday, grab a couple of friends and spend an enchanting day visiting what is part of the Puerto Vallarta-Banderas Bay community, seeing areas that you can only see by going on this very unique tour.
