email this pageprint this pageemail usPatrick Harrison - PVNN

Pie in the Sky has two locations in the Banderas Bay area: Heroe de Nacozari #202 in Bucerías and at Lázaro Cardenas #247 in Puerto Vallarta. For more information, visit PieInTheSky.com.mx.

Banderas Bay's favorite bakery, Pie in the Sky, has been the Bay's Easter headquarters for nearly 20 years. Their yummy cakes, pies, cupcakes, muffins, coffee, tea and their famous triple-chocolate "Besos," with their molten-fudge center, are available daily at two convenient locations: Heroe de Nacozari #202 (at the corner of Avenida Vallarta) in Bucerías (open from 8 am to 10 pm) and at Lázaro Cardenas #247 in Puerto Vallarta (open from 9 am to 10 pm.) They can supply any sweet need or desire for your Easter celebration or provide that item to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Using only the finest natural ingredients, many of them imported from around the world, sets Pie in the Sky apart from other local bakeries. Each item is lovingly hand made from scratch and does not include any trans-fats. Their dedication to using only the freshest natural ingredients and their attention to quality and customer service is why Pie in the Sky has been selected by residents and tourists alike as the Bay's "Best Bakery" for the past five years in the Lifestyles Magazine Reader's Choice Awards.

Pie in the Sky was founded in 1987 in La Cruz de Huanacaxtle on Banderas Bay's north shore, when the original owners started baking pies to raise money to fix their marooned sailboat.

Using classic, family heirloom recipes, soon the Pie in the Sky product line expanded to include cakes, cookies, and the now legendary "Beso," an incredibly rich and satisfying soft-centered chocolate brownie.

In 1998, Pie in the Sky was bought by Susan Drexler and Philip J. Price, a couple from the San Francisco Bay Area. Together with their son Scott Miller, Executive Chef of Market Hall Catering and Cactus Taqueria in Oakland and Berkeley, California, they introduced additional gourmet items while maintaining the quality and integrity of the original Pie in the Sky product line.

Today, a dedicated staff of artisan bakers, under the direction of Manuela Espinoza Garza with 17 years experience as the bakery's pastry chef, turns out fresh baked goodies every day.

Come discover the yummy offerings of Pie in the Sky where you can taste the difference when only quality ingredients are used.
