Puerto Vallarta - On Saturday, September 13th the CasaMagna Marriott Puerto Vallarta Resort & SPA associates showed their concern for the well being of senior citizens in our community by volunteering at the CAIA elderly shelter, where they performed maintenance and treated the residents to a little pampering.
As a part of the Marriott's Spirit to Serve our Communities program, every year the CasaMagna Marriott Puerto Vallarta Resort & Spa encourages their associates to take an active part in community services.
This year, they turned their attentions to the CAIA elderly shelter, where all the volunteer associates participated enthusiastically, and contribute in one way or another - some performing gardening activities like planting flowers, while others gave the halls, corridors, dining room and doors a fresh coat of paint before distributing some much-needed linens and furniture, which were donated by the hotel.
The OHTLI Spa associates concern for the well being of the senior citizens was also made evident as they decided to join in the volunteer efforts by offering hair cuts, manicures, pedicures and massages to the elderly residents.
All of the participating Marriott associates worked very hard, but they also had fun sharing time with the seniors who told the fabulous histories of their lives. Some of the associates brought their children along to promote the Altruistic Spirit to the next generations by teaching through example.
At the end of the day, the CasaMagna Marriott Puerto Vallarta Resort & Spa associates told us that they felt a personal satisfaction to have the opportunity to help make Puerto Vallarta a place where the elderly are respected and valued and encourage everyone to embrace the Marriott's Spirit to Serve our community.

Casamagna Marriott Puerto Vallarta Resort & Spa Visita Asilo de Ancianos Caia

PUERTO VALLARTA – Septiembre, 2008 – Los asociados del CasaMagna Marriott Puerto Vallarta Resort & SPA unieron esfuerzos el sábado 13 de septiembre para realizar labores de mantenimiento dentro del Asilo de ancianos.
Como cada año el Hotel CasaMagna Marriott Puerto Vallarta Resort & Spa convocó a sus asociados para realizar actividades de apoyo a la comunidad como parte del programa de Espíritu de Servicio valores fundamentales de la compañía Marriott y este año fue el turno para el asilo de ancianos donde los asociados de manera entusiasta aportaron su granito de arena realizando labores de mantenimiento de áreas comunes (pasillos, corredores, comedor y áreas de recreación), así como también plantando flores y algunos árboles en los jardines, también contribuyó con la donación de mobiliario y algunos blancos.
Los asociados del Spa del Hotel (OHTLI Spa) CasaMagna Marriott Puerto Vallarta Resort & SPA, preocupados por el bienestar de los residentes del asilo, reunieron algunos voluntarios que decidieron unirse al programa y contribuir realizando cortes de pelo, manicure, pedicure y masajes relajantes para los residentes del asilo.
Aquellos que atendieron el evento trabajaron arduamente para pintar y plantar flores, pero claro también hubo diversión y convivencia con los ancianos ya que algunos de ellos nos contaron fabulosos relatos de su vida.
Algunos de los asociados llevaron a sus hijos y se convirtió en una sana convivencia altruista familiar, donde no solo se contribuye a beneficiar a los ancianos, sino que con el ejemplo se fomenta la labor altruista a las nuevas generaciones.
Al final del día los asociados del CasaMagna Marriott Puerto Vallarta Resort & SPA comentaron que terminaron su labor con un sentimiento de satisfacción personal al poder ayudar a hacer de Puerto Vallarta un lugar donde se valoran y respetan a los ancianos y donde se fomenta el Espíritu de Servir a nuestros semejantes.
