CasaMagna Marriott Puerto Vallarta General Manager, Dennis Whitelaw, welcomes the nine trainees involved in the program.

One of the trainees thanks the hotel for giving him an opportunity to be a part of the Marriott's hospitality training program.

Puerto Vallarta - CasaMagna Marriott Puerto Vallarta Resort & SPA, committed to providing opportunities for the next generation, is launching a six month hospitality training program for young people from challenging backgrounds.

Nine trainees involved in the CasaMagna Puerto Vallarta program were officially introduced to the Marriott Managers at a welcoming cocktail. The program is done in collaboration with the International Tourism Partnership's Youth Career Initiative, an association that creates the opportunities for disadvantaged young people to gain employability skills to which they have limited access elsewhere.

The program combines classroom training with on-the-job hotel experience, allowing the trainees to obtain the necessary skills and knowledge. Already 1600 young people are on their way towards promising careers in Australia, Brazil, Thailand, Poland and Romania, but this is the second year of Mexico participation in YCI program where the program is coordinated by Fundación Infantia.

CasaMagna Marriott Puerto Vallarta Resort & SPA is one of three hotels in Mexico who has embraced the YCI program. Marriott's philosophy has always been that of aiding the local communities and countries where they are located, a proof of this is the recently won World Saver award from Conde Nast Traveler for Marriott's culture of service and social responsibility.

PVNN
