Mexican Naval Personnel Eradicate Marijuana Plantations in Sinaloa, Guerrero and Nayarit

Mexico City - As part of the permanent operations against drug trafficking being carried out by the Mexican Navy, on December 26 and 27, Marine Infantry Personnel located and eradicated 14 marijuana plantations in Maloya, in the state of Mexico, covering an area of 13,918 square meters, and containing over 282,000 plants. They also located a bag and 7 containers with marijuana seeds with an approximate weight of 2 kilos, which were burnt in situ.

During several land operations from December 26 to 28, naval personnel located 11 marijuana plantations in the villages of Ojo de Agua, El Mameyal and Hujerita, Guerrero, with a total areas of 16,589 square meters. There, Navy infantry men incinerated over 68,000 marijuana plants as well as a plantation with 1,700 plants.

Lastly, in the state of Nayarit in the village of El Tamarindo in the Municipality of Compostela, naval personnel found two marijuana plantations with a total surface of 7,550 square meters, with a total of 163,000 plants, which were also incinerated.
