Puerto Vallarta - Sometimes you should be careful of what you ask for. I guess that is what Executive Chef Seth Cloutman, Que Raro!! Restaurant at Club Mañana, was asking himself at 10 pm on American Thanksgiving Day, as he was serving his final guests their third helping from his all-you-can-eat family style Thanksgiving Dinner.

With only a 2 hour nap in 36 hours Executive Chef Seth Cloutman and his talented staff laid out the fixin's hosting the Puerto Vallarta International Friendship Club's annual fundraising dinner, several private groups and the general public.

Chef Cloutman prepared a meal just a bit better than my Nana (sorry Nana.) While I have Italian American Thanksgiving roots, I must say that all of my favorites were served, including roasted turkey, baked ham, sweet potato pie, fresh baked breads and homemade apple and pumpkin pie.

While this may be Seth's first Thanksgiving at Que Raro, he is not stranger to American cooking with a southern flair. Que Raro's normal menu offers some classics such as Yankee Pot Roast and roasted vegetables ($150), Meatloaf with creamy tomato sauce ($135) and Slow Braised BBQ Ribs ($165), all of which I have tried and enjoyed. If you are seeking a good value meal, Que Raro at Club Mañana is worth a visit.

Job well done Seth. Now you can take a 12 hour nap.
