Last week, one of the largest and most luxurious cruise ships in the world, Cunard Cruise Line's Queen Victoria, visited Puerto Vallarta. Visit the website at Cunard.co.uk
It is not every day that a Queen comes to Puerto Vallarta. As locals and residents, we know that we have many gems in our beautiful city, but a Queen's visit confirms our blessings.

This past week, one of the largest and most luxurious cruise ships in the world, Cunard Cruise Line's Queen Victoria visited our beloved city as part of an international voyage that has traveled to several countries. Puerto Vallarta is one of the final destinations for this royal voyage, which ends in Los Angeles, CA. on February 3, 2009.

This special trip was a repositioning cruise that will spend the remainder of the season cruising down the Western coast of Mexico, embarking on 7 day trips that will visit Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta.

The Queen Victoria is a magnificent ship, weighing in at approximately 90,000 tons and measuring 964 feet in length and 180 feet in height. She can hold up to 2000 guests in 990 luxurious cabins.

The ship's interiors are warmly reminiscent of a more gracious era with a dramatic three-tiered Grand Lobby decorated with sumptuous marbles and woods, plush carpets, fine rich fabrics and soft furnishings that simply exude elegance.

The Queen Victoria offers its guests a main dining room along with 24 secondary areas for your dining pleasure. A replica of the famous Burlington Arcade, a London shopping center built in the XIX century, is also available for your pleasure.

We welcome Queen Victoria on her maiden sail to Puerto Vallarta this year. "God Save the Queen."
