Mexico City - Foreign Affairs Secretary Ambassador Patricia Espinosa Cantellano telephoned US Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton Thursday.

During their conversation, they discussed priorities on the broad bilateral agenda and the need to reinforce dialogue and cooperation between the departments they head. They also stressed the importance of working together on issues of shared interest on the region and multilateral agenda.

They confirmed that they will act at all times under the principle of joint responsibility, as President Felipe Calderón and President Barack Obama said during their recent meeting in Washington.

Ambassador Espinosa congratulated Secretary Clinton on her appointment and wished her every success in the new US administration.
