Don't miss the free Sunday night Gipsy Rumba and Flamenco Guitar concerts by European recording artists and Puerto Vallarta's favorite Blonde Gypsies, Latcho and Andrea, at Ritmos Beach Café's upstairs stage.

Latcho & Andrea have recorded eight albums and a DVD chronicling their thirteen year career. Having performed internationally, their wild, untamed Gipsy style has been compared to The Gipsy Kings, Ottmar Liebert, Jesse Cook, Manitas de Plata and Puerto Vallarta favorites, Willie & Lobo.

Latcho and Andrea moved to Mexico approximately 11 years ago. Before they met, Latcho and his friend, Lobo (of Willie and Lobo) played music together in Germany and in Mexico. After Lobo moved to Mexico, he sent numerous postcards back to Latcho extolling the virtues of life in Mexico. Latcho and Andrea had, by this time, met and fallen in love and they visited here for several years. Finally, they too moved to Mexico.

For the first four years they played their music primarily in Puerto Vallarta as there wasn’t a "music scene" in the north bay. Then they started playing at Papasito’s (now the Black Forest Restaurant) in La Cruz and at Karen’s Place in Bucerias, often billed as 'Gitans Blondes,' the name being taken from a brand of French cigarettes, and used as the title of one of their CDs.

This "Dynamic Duo" has produced several CDs, including: Latcho and the Gipsy Queens, Ohauaha, Gitans Blonds, Bahia Nights, Gipsy Gypsy, The Best of Latcho and Andrea, and the Latcho & Andrea DVD.

Today, Latcho and Andrea are living in Puerto Vallarta and delighting Banderas Bay audiences with their gypsy-flamenco style of music, with Latcho on guitar and Andrea accompanying him with guitar and castanets, in clubs, restaurants and private events.

They are fantastic! Some of the gypsy influence in their music comes from time that Latcho spent in the south of France, in the proximity of the Gipsy Kings. Also, after they were together, Latcho and Andrea spent a lot of time living and traveling in caravans with the gypsies.

If you have never had the pleasure of seeing these two talented artists perform, be sure to catch them in concert on Sunday nights on the upstairs stage at Ritmos Beach Cafe, Calle Malecon #177 Colonia Emiliano Zapata on the south side of Puerto Vallarta:

February 8th, 9:00 pm
February 22nd, 9:00 pm
March 8th, 9:00 pm

... or visit their website at LatchoAndrea.com for a complete schedule of this season's Banderas Bay area concert dates.
