PV Chamber Orchestra Puts Finishing Touches on March 15 Program
email this pageprint this pageemail usPVNN

Don't miss the Vallarta Chamber Orchestra's Spring Concert at 8 pm on March 15 at the American School in Marina Vallarta.
The orchestra has been working since mid-January to prepare its most challenging program to date. "Performing Beethoven's first symphony has been a very exciting challenge for the entire orchestra," states musical director Mary MacLachlan. "We have been wanting to play a full symphony for a long time but until recently did not have the instrumentation to do so. Beethoven 1 is such a well-loved piece that it is fun to play and a pleasure to listen to as well."

There is such a variety of music on this program that there truly will be 'something for everyone.' Verdi's La Traviata Prelude, J.C. Bach's Bassoon Concerto, and Grieg's Holberg Suite all promise to please the audience. The Jazz Duo d'Rachael and Doug Demeerleer is guaranteed to be a hit.

For the past two years, every orchestra concert has been standing-room only. Be sure to arrive early in order to get a seat. March 15 at the Colegio Americano/American School (between the airport and Plaza Marina.) The program starts at 8 pm. Donations gratefully accepted.

For further information please call Mary MacLachlan at 044-322-134-8855.
