Artistas del Bario Art Exhibit a Success

These very young and talented artists, Alessandro Luthi, Ernesto Gispert, Milan Mansfield and Sebastian Loza, donated 15% of the proceeds from their Artistas del Bario Art Exhibit to R.I.S.E.
The one-night Artistas del Bario art exhibition and cocktail, which took place on February 27th at Espacio de Angeles on the south side of Puerto Vallarta, was a great success! This exhibit produced 24 pieces of art by these four young talented boys and 12 pieces were sold... the boys were truly excited.

What's more exciting now is the gift they are giving to potentially 3 children at R.I.S.E. to enter into a Scholarship Program with their Maestro Montiel. One Year, 6 month and 3 month scholarships ($10,000 pesos) are to be awarded.

Maestro Montiel will be involved in the process of selecting these 3 lucky winners by having all the children make drawings and submit them to him. In this way he is able to see if they really have an interest and ganas as well as the ability to nurture.

All the children at R.I.S.E. wish to thank Milan, Sebastian, Alessandro, Ernesto and Maestro Montiel for giving this wonderful gift of opportunity and love.

The Refugio Infantil Santa Esperanza is a non-profit shelter for babies and children under the age of 14. Some of these children are orphans but most come from unbearable situations having been abused, neglected, or simply abandoned. R.I.S.E. is a Mexican non-profit charitable organization, which accepts donations through a number of charitable organizations. More information about tax deductible donations can be found at their website: Refugio-Infantil.org.
