President Felipe Calderón Receives Aid from China to Cope with Influenza A

At the presidential hangar on Friday, President Felipe Calderón received the assistance from the Chinese government sent to Mexico to cope with the Influenza A health emergency. The donation comprised five million dollars, one million dollars in cash and four in supplies consisting of:

Flexible surgical masks - 3,000,000
Professional surgical masks - 240,000
Visors with goggles - 50,000
Insulated clothing – 2,000,000
Protective clothing – 100,000
Shoe covers – 400,000
Normal gloves - 96,000
Long gloves – 1,500
Cotton balls – 1,600,000
Cotton pads – 10,000
Cotton buds – 8,000
Disinfecting swabs – 100,000
Bottles of soap – 8,000
Infra-red thermometers - 80

Foreign Affairs Secretary Patricia Espinosa received the cash aid totaling one million dollars from Chinese ambassador in Mexico, Yin Hengmin.
