Latin Grammy award-winner, Alejandro Fernández, who is not only one of the most popular singers in Mexico and Latin America today, but also the official Tourist Ambassador of the state of Jalisco, will be performing a free concert on the Malecón in downtown Puerto Vallarta at 8 pm on June 20th.
Designed to bring tourists back to Puerto Vallarta, this free concert, called "Jalisco en Vivo 2009," is being organized and hosted by renowned hostess Gloria Calzada and will feature "El Potrillo" singing his best hits, romantic ballads and traditional Mexican Ranchero music, along with his friends: Joan Sebastian, Enrique Iglesias, Raul de Blasio, Aleks Syntek, Luis Fonsi, Leon Polar, Gianmarco, David Bisbal, Noel, Coti, Belanova, Fanny Lu, Sandoval, Ha*ash & Maria Jose.
Rumor has it that other super stars, like Paulina Rubio, Shakira and Vicente Fernandez, may make surprise appearances, and since the Jalisco en Vivo concert is open to the public and free of charge, city officials are estimating that there will be as many as 65,000 people in the crowd.
Those who'd like to see this spectacular concert - but avoid the crowds - can reserve a space on one of the two special cruises that Vallarta Adventures is offering that allow you to enjoy the show from the comfort of their first-class boats anchored out in the bay, just off the beach.
