Puerto Vallarta city officials will take the field at the Agustín Flores Contreras Sports Stadium on July 31st to present this season's Little League winning teams with trophies and to give plaques of recognition to the team sponsors who helped bring Little League baseball back to Vallarta after a 10 year absence.

If the Sage Hill - Los Limones game is won by Los Limones, they will play a doubleheader to determine the 9-11 year old champion. BanderasNews and Los Angeles are tied 3-3 and a champion will be crowned in the 12-14 year old division. This will be the final day of the Little League until the second season resumes this coming winter.

Thanks go out to all sponsors, donors, supporters, players, coaches, parents and the City of Puerto Vallarta for making it possible for 150 kids to play organized baseball under the official auspices of the worldwide Little League, based out of Williamsport, PA.

As most sponsors are out of town, I will be accepting the trophies and plaques awarded to those who will not be in attendance. If you are a Little League sponsor or the representative of a winning team and are unable to attend the awards ceremony, contact me at bob(at)banderasnews.com to pick up your award.

Once again, we would like to thank everyone who made it possible for 150 local kids to have a great time while developing the qualities of citizenship, discipline, teamwork and physical well-being that come from participating in Little League Baseball. We hope to see you at the baseball field at 10:30 am on Saturday, July 31st.

Your support provides endless benefits for Banderas Bay area kids, who will develop the qualities of citizenship, discipline, teamwork and physical well-being by participating in Puerto Vallarta Little League Baseball. To learn how you can help, send an email to Bob Cohen at bob(at)banderasnews.com, Miguel Vargas at tacos.park(at)hotmail.com or Oscar Mercado at mercadooscar(at)hotmail.com.
