Only with your help can we make a difference for the children of Puerto Vallarta. Casa Infantile Mojoneras depends entirely on voluntary contributions for all our work. For more information, visit CasaInfantilMojoneras.org
Puerto Vallarta - A bright future starts with our children. Unfortunately, most of the victims of poverty are the children. Poverty is passed from one generation to the next. Breaking this cycle, is imperative not only for these children, but for society as a whole.

Protecting children from violence, exploitation and abuse is an integral component of protecting their rights to survival, growth and development - and that is what Casa Infantil Mojoneras in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico strives to do.

For those of you who are not familiar with Casa Infantil Mojoneras, let me tell you something about it.

Casa Infantil Mojoneras is a unique place where children who are living in extreme poverty have, perhaps for the first time in their young lives, the opportunity to experience an environment based on respect, honesty, integrity and love.

No child is turned away from the center and each child that arrives is instilled with the principals and the basics to live their life with love and intention. In order to accomplish these goals, each child is given a strong base to build on at an early age by providing them with basic social skills, warm food, education and a sense of belonging.

Within this framework of love and respect Directors Gerardo and Judith Ávila and a small group of volunteers care for approximately 150 children who consider the Casa Infantil Mojoneras their second home. For some of these children, Casa Infantil Mojoneras is their only safe haven in a world surrounded with extreme poverty, drugs, prostitution, child pornography, alcoholism, and abuse.

So, to continue their great work they need new and bigger facilities as the house they are actually using is rented. The children did a good job singing in the different malls and selling their CD's to raise money to buy things for their home.

But now they need our help to raise funds for a new building, so they are organizing a Sports Auction at the Outback Steakhouse on Tuesday July 14 at 8 pm.

Among the items to be auctioned off are:

• 2 football t-shirts autographed by Mexican famous player Rafa Márquez

• 1 T-shirt and a football from the Mexican beach soccer team autographed by the entire team

• T-shirts autographed by singers: Yahir, Kalimba and Izkander

• Various paintings and art works by local artists of international fame

• And much more...

Tickets are now on sale and cost just $250 pesos, including a delicious dinner and the right to bid in the auction. For tickets delivered to your home or office, please call Rita Millán at 044-322-141-6974 (Español / English)

If you can not attend and still want to help, please do so! We hope to have your heart in it too... We need you support! For donation information, visit CasaInfantilMojoneras.org
