Mexico is a burgeoning economy and is thus a great place to start your export/import business in. Mexico has a lot of cheap and indigenous products that are in great demand in other countries. Thus, by cleverly positioning yourself as an exporter of Mexican goods, you can stumble upon lot of profits overnight. The items that are manufactured in Mexico are often produced in separate batches and the superior batch is meant for export. Since the economy in Mexico is still developing, the costs of production are lower than most of the other countries that surround it. This is especially true when compared to developed countries like the US and Canada.

So even though Mexico produces extremely high quality goods, the cost is still quite low. This is why clever traders are flocking to Mexico in order to meet the demands of exported goods from Mexico. If you want to beat the rush, you have to be fast and intelligent. A major part of the process is knowing what to sell.

There is no fixed answer to this question because it varies from person to person. If you are an experienced trader who has been trading for some time now, it will depend on your existing connections. It will also depend on your history of trading items. In most cases, these two are closely related and hence you would be able to answer the question quite easily. For example, if you are experienced in trading wooden furniture you're likely to have a lot of contacts and buyers in that industry.

If you are new to the industry, it will depend on what you feel is right for you. It might also depend on what you are interested in and/or what your qualifications are. For example, an electronics engineer would do well in trading machine parts. But an electronics engineer who likes buildings might do well in trading indoor security systems and communications systems. These only examples and you can trade in almost anything you want or like.

Importing goods is also a very lucrative business in Mexico and this is especially because some of the more premium goods are not produced in Mexico. So you can make a fortune by catering to those people who want items that are produced outside the country. You will do especially well if you already have connections with exporters of premium electronic items and the like. The demand for technology is the highest because most of the high-end items are not produced in Mexico. The demand is spread over all industries - from heavy machinery to household appliances and computers.

Every businessman should know that good business opportunities are very hard to come by. Hence, make it a point to seize every good business opportunity that comes your way. If you do not take the chance, you are likely to end up regretting it. So whether you are in export, import or both - do not miss this chance to establish a strong business in Mexico.
