Vallarta Fishing Experience

August 25, 2009

Hello everyone, and welcome to Vallarta Fishing Experience, a brand new fishing show from SF Productions TV. I'll be hosting this new online fishing show featuring some great "man vs. fish" video footage and my tips on how and where you can catch the big ones on Banderas Bay. What a great way to start what I hope will be a long association with BanderasNews.

The 3rd Annual Marlin and Tuna Tournament in Marina Riviera Naryarit at La Cruz was an enormous success, with more than fifty boats entered. The daily jackpots were large and the competition was tight.

In the Marlin category, both first and third place went to Robert and Chris Geib with a 182 kilo / 407.3 lb Black (Chris) and a 118 Kilo / 264 lb Blue Marlin, both boated by Chris' father Robert Geib, off the boat Animal House. The pair pocketed a $20,000 USD prize, and a new Toyota.

The winning Yellowfin Tuna went to Team Pecositas with Captain Hector (Torta to his friends) and 1st Mate Arturo (Orijon, or "Ears" to his friends.) Of course, the winning angler was Jose Luis Davalos Villanueva from Guadalajara, with his 108.5 Kilo / 241 lb Yellowfin Tuna. This is a tournament record for the largest Yellowfin Tuna! So once again, congratulations and Felicidades to Team Pecositas!

Capt. Steve Torres of Sirena with 1st Mate Freddy won the Catch-and-Release prize for Sailfish. Nothing new here for Capt. Steve and Mate Freddy; they always find their way into the Money! And Team Boston Whaler won the Dorado Category.

As you can imagine, the awards presentation was typical Vallarta with lots of friendly faces, pretty girls and laughs to go around. Club de Pesca once again put on a magnifico tournament, which is fast becoming the premier tournament-sponsoring organization in Puerto Vallarta!

Stay tuned to BanderasNews and Puerto Vallarta Yachting and Fishing Charter Association for all my latest fishing tips and advice on fishing conditions in Banderas Bay. To advertise on the PVYAFCA Website, call Martha at SF Productions TV, Tel. 322/209-0092.

The Puerto Vallarta Yachting and Fishing Charter Association features virtual tours that allow you to see exactly what you are getting before you charter a Puerto Vallarta fishing or charter boat.
The Puerto Vallarta Yachting and Fishing Charter Association is an energetic and forward-looking company using Video Virtual Tours of the boats, as a way of marketing charter boats, in the Puerto Vallarta area.

This organization was developed by David Tarr in response to a need that was conveyed to him by boat captains and boat owners at the Puerto Vallarta Marina. The basic need was for customers to be able to see exactly what they are getting before they chartered a boat, so there are no unwanted surprises for the customer. This is why SF Productions integrated Video Virtual Tours of the Boats and Yachts into its PVYAFCA.com website.

We have large numbers of different types, sizes, and prices of boats available, from comfortable pangas (fishing boats) to gorgeous motor yachts and sailing boats all on one web site. This allows you to see and book the boat of your choice from the comfort of your home. Your online booking insures the availability of your chosen boat, taking the guesswork and potential frustration and time wasted out of chartering a boat in a foreign country.

You will know exactly what to expect before you board, as well as being familiar with the captain and the crew, leaving you feeling relaxed and confident with the boat you've chartered, leaving one less thing for you to worry about.
