In recognition of Mexico's Independence on September 16 people are asked to wear red and green, to all events this month.

August 28th through September 16 Gallerias Vallarta will be hosting Eventos y Promociones Mexicanos;

September 13th at 5 pm Gallerias Vallarta will get your taste buds frenzied for "Mexican Food Night," with cooking demonstrations and tastings, this is sure to be a crowd pleaser.

September 12th at 9 pm at the Sheraton Bugambilias in the Salon Las Flores, La Asociación Femenil Vallartense (The Vallarta Women's Association,) is having the Rebozo Dancing show to benefit The Cancer Kids Group. The Mayor from Tepic will be raffling off a Gold Centenary Coin with a value of $800 pesos. Come out and support the kids and this great local charity!

September 13th at 7 pm at "Mi Church Nuevo Amanecer" there will be a Mexican Party with food and games. All are welcome to attend, meet and talk with many local business owners. For more information contact Carlos at 044-322-117-6955.

September 15th at 5 pm at Galerias Vallarta will be "Traditional Mexican Party Night" where traditional Mexican games will be played like Canicas (Marbles,) Lotería (Mexican Bingo,) Darts, and many others. Prizes will be awarded, so bring the whole family and have some good clean fun.

All last week, Precision Productions covered the 2009 Puerto Vallarta Ujena Jam, the premier model and photographer talent search competition. Over $200,000 USD in cash, prizes, trips, and contracts were awarded over the week long competition.

Models and photographer from all over the world came to participate in this event. We were able to get an interview with beautiful up-and-coming model and actress, Mandy Domingues. Every Thursday and Sunday at the Plaza in City Hall, starting at 5 pm, there will be live Mexican music and dancing.

September 15 and 16 downtown on the Malecón, Puerto Vallarta will have its official National Party for Independence Day. There will be a fireworks display and the traditional "Scream" will be done, this is the highlight of the event. This is an event you don't want to miss.
