Puerto Vallarta Little League Partnerships - 2009-2010 Season
email this pageprint this pageemail usJeff Davis - PV Little League
October 29, 2009

2009-2010 Team Partnership deadline is November 10, 2009. For more information, contact Bob Cohen at bob(at)banderasnews.com.
Little League in Puerto Vallarta returned after a 15 year absence thanks to the efforts of Miguel Vargas, the League's founder and President, the Municipality of Puerto Vallarta, the public school system. Bob Cohen/BanderasNews.com, our founding member team partners and numerous volunteers and donators. We fielded ten teams with 150 kids, and had an incredibly competitive season with our League Select Side faring well in a season's end regional tournament in Guadalajara. We look to the new season with great optimism.

The 2009-10 season kicks off on Saturday, December 5th with our League hosting a pre-season tournament with three teams from neighboring states. When the first pitch is thrown out the first Saturday of December to open the season, we expect to field 10-12 teams with 150+ kids. In addition, Miguel has lined up professional instructors designed to make certain the kids learn the game and are solid fundamentally. Miguel is also adding Tee-Ball this season for the younger kids.

The League's budget for this season is just over $200,000 pesos and covers the cost of team uniforms, caps, equipment, tournament travel related expenses, umpires, administration/printing costs and our season end trophy and League fiesta. We are pleased to announce that seven of our ten founding team partners will be joining us again this year and we truly appreciate their continuing support. We have several partnership packages this year designed so that any business wishing to participate can do so in a way which fits the budget. We hope you join Miguel and his team of volunteers as they embark on what should be a very exciting and competitive season. (Miguel has his sites set on Williamsport, Pennsylvania!)
