Boat Fire at Marina Vallarta
email this pageprint this pageemail usSteve Van Slyke - PVNN
November 14, 2009

Fire broke out about 5 pm Jalisco time Friday, November 13, aboard the motor yacht C’est la Vie, approximately 50 feet in length at Marina Vallarta. Brave souls on small boats and on the docks managed to move the fully engulfed vessel away from other nearby yachts to empty slips on A-Dock below the old Puerto Vallarta Yacht Club and across from Punta Iguana.

Firemen on land and on an inflatable fire and rescue vessel directed water from hoses on to the burning boat for more than an hour before the fire was contained.

According to early unconfirmed reports, no one was seriously injured and persons on board may have jumped into the water to avoid the flames.
