Cenzic announced today its Q1 2009 report on internet browser security, and guess who is at the top of the list as the most vulnerable browser?

That’s right, it’s Mozilla’s Firefox.

Here’s the breakdown of all browser vulnerabilities: 44% belongs to Firefox, 35% is all Apple Safari, 15% is Internet Explorer’s, and Opera owns 6%.

Cenzic, an application security vendor, is pointing the finger at the growing popularity of Firefox as the browser of choice and to the number of plug-ins that are available.

However, a Cenzic rep did give credit to Firefox for trying to improve its plug-in security over the last year, including the plug-in checker and Firefox 3.0.9.
