There is fun for everyone at the Great Vallarta Yacht Club 10th Annual Chili Cook-Off benefiting the Families of The Dump. Scheduled to take place in the Yacht Club parking lot on Saturday, December 5th from 4 to 8 pm, this event is open to the public - and admission is Free!

Come and taste the variety of chilies featured, cooked by local restaurants, cruisers and people that just think that they make the greatest chili in the world. There will be 15 or so different chilies to taste along with liquid refreshments. Each participant will decorate their booth as they see fit to compete for the best presentation award.

Little Ruthie will come by to sing and additional music will be provide by a local disc jockey.

This is a Charity Event and our way of giving something to Mexico for the wonderful hospitality they afford us. The funds raised will go for education and educational supplies for "the Families at the Dump". 100% the monies collected goes to the charity with the exception a few small costs not covered by donations.

We want to thank the teams cooking the chili who donate their time and ingredients, the volunteers who donate their time to run the event, Corona for donating the beer and the other donors too numerous to mention.

Families at the Dump is a non-profit entity that serves to meet the physical, spiritual, medical, emotional and educational needs of the registered recyclers and our Mission Church families that live along Hope Road located at the base of the Puerto Vallarta City Dump. FAD will have a table at the Chili Cook-off to answer any questions and sell FAD tee shirts. Please come and enjoy yourself while doing good for the community.
