February 16, 2010

On February 24, 2010 at 10 am at the International Friendship Club, Dr. Jorge Chavez will speak on What's New In Cardiology.
As February is "Heart Month", HealthCare Resources Puerto Vallarta is pleased to present the second in our Heart Talk series. On February 24, 2010 at 10 am at the International Friendship Club, Dr. Jorge Chavez will speak on "What's New In Cardiology". And he should know! Dr. Chavez practices each summer at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, where he hones his invasive and non-invasive cardiac skills practicing all of the latest, state-of-the-art techniques. Learn the latest and most up-to-date information on cardiac medications, procedures and equipment.

Dr. Chavez is not only a cardiac interventionalist, he is an internist as well. He did his Internal Medicine Residency at the Hospital Civil in Guadalajara and the University of Utah Health Sciences Center. His cardiac fellowship was performed at the prestigious Instituto National de Cardiologia in Mexico City. His interventional cardiology fellowship was completed there as well. Married to one of Vallarta's most popular pediatricians, Dra. "Lety", they have two children - the oldest on his way through medical school at this time.

We encourage you to attend this very enlightening conference. This is not just focused on those with current cardiac problems/disease, but as well, will include preventative information.

There is no charge for this event but we do ask that you bring a donation of some type of dried food (beans, rice, powdered milk) for those less fortunate.

Our last talk was completely full with a long waiting list, so please RSVP now!

Take care of your heart - and we will see you there!
