Nautical Extravaganza 2010: Beach Volleyball in Nuevo Vallarta

As part of the 2010 Nautical Extravaganza's Nextel Mexico Regatta Cup Bicentennial Edition, the Riviera Nayarit will also play host to beach competitions, including a volleyball tournament from March 5-7 in Nuevo Vallarta, where a stadium will be erected for up to 2500 beach volleyball fans.
The Beach Volleyball competition will be the 2010 Nautical Extravaganza's first off-the-water sporting event. The event will start on March 4th with clinics held by 2008 Olympic Games Mexican athletes Bibiana Candelas and Mayra Garcia.
The Mexican pair will lead the tournament, which has summoned another three powerful teams from the Americas, including top-ranked US team April Ross and Jeniffer Kessy - the pair to beat at the foursome which includes the participation of Canada National title winners Annie Martin and Marie Lessard, and Brazilian youth league stars Barbara Seixas and Vivian Cunha, who were crowned champs in the 2009 World Championships.
The games, which are free and open to the public, are scheduled to take place from March 5-7 on the beaches between the Grand Velas & Bahia del Sol Hotels in Nuevo Vallarta.
