Just as you did when we called out for help in Firestorm 2007, the San Diego region has responded once again with truckloads of supplies for our brethren in Baja California that suffered from Easter's 7.2 earthquake.

Saturday at 1030 am Border Angels and many of its supporters will caravan south of the border as we go to Mexicali and surrounding areas to distribute the very generous donations we have received since last Sunday.

We will continue to receive donations for the next several weeks and have other caravans. We have established drop off sites throughout San Diego County.

(San Diego, Chula Vista, Lemon Grove, Clairemont, Vista) Our main drop off is the Universalist Unitarian Church in Chula Vista (photographed here) please call Mar Cardenas for the nearest location (619) 258-0169 if going to Lemon Grove, please call Isabel at (619) 739-5508 St Phillips Church, in Clairemont Lori (858) 278-1323, general info: Enrique (619) 269-7865 Border Angels

What is needed most apart from monetary donations, are non perishable food, tents, sleeping bags water, etc - just imagine if you were immediately left homeless and with no electricity, what would you need? (we have already been shuttling items to Mexico and will continue)

Thanks again to all that have been so generous and supportive of Border Angels, we really need your help now as we have both the Earthquake situation and the hot summer months ahead.
