Title Fight for Puerto Vallarta's Paco Villanueva at Collage Club

Power Punch Promotions will have a full boxing card at the Collage Club in the Marina tonight, July 2nd beginning at 6:30 PM with the main event having Puerto Vallarta's Paco Villanueva defending his World Latino championship belt against Adrian El Pitufo Hernandez of Tlanepantla, State of Mexico.

The bout will be in the welterweight (147 pounds) division and will be a 12 round fight since there is a world title at stake. Villanueva who won the title in his most recent fight sports a record of 35-10 with 25 knockouts. He is on a hot streak, winning his last eight bouts and is also the owner and trainer of fighters at the Power Punch Gym in Puerto Vallarta.

The will be eight amateur bouts that will be fought first and then followed by five professional fights. The co-main event will have popular Puerto Vallarta youngster Salvador El Bazuca Arias fighting Miguel Mendoza, also of Tlanepantla in an eight round featherweight bout. Arias has compiled a 10-2 record with seven knockouts and is a young fighter that has shown a lot of potential.

Tickets are available at the door for $200 pesos. A press conference was called the day before the fight, so there will be no pre sale prices. There have been some banners hanging around town announcing the boxing card this week. Come out and join the action and root for Puerto Vallarta's popular Paco Villanueva to retain his title.


The main event, Puerto Vallarta's Paco Villanueva (R) will battle Adrian El Pitufo Hernandez of Tlanepantla, Estado de Mexico.
