The Presidency reports that Social Development Secretary Heriberto Félix Guerra, coordinator of the emergency support actions in Nuevo León, will lead a working visit to the city of Monterrey to follow up efforts made by each of the federal departments in this state, as a result of hurricane Alex.

Secretary Félix Guerra will be accompanied by Under-Secretaries of Health Prevention and Promotion of the Health Secretariat, Mauricio Hernández Ávila; and Social and Human Development, SEDESOL, Luis Mejía Guzmán, as well as General Coordinator of Civil Protection of the Interior Secretariat, Laura Gurza Jaidar, among other civil servants, in order to concentrate those responsible for the actions undertaken since Mexican President Felipe Calderón Hinojosa visited that state in a permanent working group designed to boost collaboration between the various local authorities in Nuevo León.

Ensuring the peace and tranquility of Mexican families is a priority for Federal Government. It will therefore continue using every means at its disposal to help local authorities deal with the damage caused by Hurricane Alex.
