Jennifer Lopez
Los Angeles, CA - Jennifer Lopez has reportedly snagged the "American Idol" deal for a whopping $12 million. While it seemed that the singer/actress struck gold with the deal, it was actually $3 million less than what she asked for.

Deadline.com reports that the initial deal between the two parties fell apart when Lopez demanded a bit more than the producers were willing to offer.

Among her demands were "an overall deal at Fox, including a put picture, to keep the movie career going. But Fox said no," an insider told the website.

Lopez was asking for $15 million, but wound up getting $12 million. And while she got the overall Fox deal in the end, she was refused the film/TV contract that she wanted.

The insider continued, "In the end, she didn't turn up her nose up at $12 million. I would hav been very surprised if she had walked away. She needs the money. She lives very, very well. It comes at a cost."
