Don Guacamole Opens on PV's South Side

Who says that everything is closed so there's nowhere to eat in Puerto Vallarta during the month of September? A new restaurant, Don Guacamole, just opened its doors on the south side of Vallarta... in September! Mimo, the owner of La Piazzetta, has done it again!
 Located on the patio directly behind La Piazzetta on the northwest corner of Olas Altas and Rodolfo Gomez, Mimo's new restaurant is destined to be as popular as its neighbors, with a menu that includes many of your Mexican favorites.
Along with traditional Mexican fare, such as Enchiladas, a Mexican plate with all of your favorites, several different varieties of guacamole and fresh tortillas made-to-order, Don Guacamole's menu features shrimp prepared as you like, along with salmon, steaks and ribs.
Don Guacamole's dessert menu includes several different items that we have not seen before, (and we always check out the desserts!) so everyone should be able to find something different and delicious to enjoy at this fabulous new restaurant.
This new south side eatery is also very attractive. They have put in a very nice tile floor, many attractive plants in new planter boxes, and on the back wall they have installed a waterwall. And of importance this time of year, we were there on an evening when the bottom fell out of the sky, and though we were sitting outdoors no one got a drop of rain on them!
La Piazzetta has received Virtual Vallarta's Readers Choice Award for Best Italian Restaurant and/or Best Pizza every year since 2004, and if Don Guacamole keeps up the good food, excellent service, and friendly atmosphere, they are sure to get Mimo's new restaurant in the running for Best Mexican! |
